Essential oils…plant juice magic! 😂
If you have never used essential oils before you are probably wondering what they are. Here’s a quick rundown:
- Essential oils are naturally occurring, aromatic compounds found in all different parts of a plant (stem, roots, seeds, etc). They are there to help the plant thrive and provide protection AND they offer incredible benefits to us.
- Essential oils can be used in three different ways:
- Aromatically (diffusing or smelling straight from the bottle)
- Topically (applying to the skin usually using a carrier oil)
- Internally – ingesting oils by adding them to a liquid or veggie capsule or dropping directly into your mouth (*note this is only true for doTERRA oils where purity is 100% guaranteed.)
When you are first getting started using oils it can feel overwhelming because there are so many different oils available that can be used for so many different things. I have compiled a list of my top 10 essential oils and how to use them. This is a great starting point because these oils are so versatile and most of them have multiple uses.
