Thanksgiving is one of my favourite holidays. Not because of the whole being thankful part (which don’t get me wrong is super important and I mean its a holiday to be thankful! What can be better?) or because of the yummy food. But because of the slower pace. The sitting around a campfire for hours talking with family you haven’t seen in a while. The exploring of nature trails that have been overgrown and marvelling at how breathtaking fall is. The eating of meals together outside in the unseasonably warm weather and soaking in the conversation and laughter.
That is what my Thanksgiving was like last week. A little break before the whirl wind holiday season arrives.
It was perfect. And I am so thankful for the family I got to share it with.
