Books are something I try to read to my kids every day. I know, I know thats probably literally every moms goal and I must say its a good one and one that everyone enjoys (for the most part anyways 🤪)
When buying new books (or picking them out at the library) it can be hard to guess which books kids will actually enjoy. My go-to strategy is usually to pick based on the cover which has given us some big wins and some misses. So obviously a safer way to pick out books is to get one recommended by a friend or maybe even better a seasoned story time organizer at your local library.
With that in mind I wanted to make a list of recommendations for you to use if you are still looking for some Christmas gifts for your kids. This list is pretty random but these are all books that my kids reach for again and again. They range from age 1-6 and obviously the 1 year old isn’t reading the Where’s Waldo book so there is some range in this post. Use your best judgement to decide if your kid (or grandkid) will enjoy the book at they age they are at.
